Homestead Farms is a family-owned perennial flower nursery located in Owensville, Missouri, about 60 miles west of St. Louis, specializing in field grown daylilies, peonies and container grown hostas. We are a state inspected mail order nursery shipping to all 50 states (sorry we do not make international shipments). If you plan to visit the nursery, please call ahead to set up an appointment.
We have been in business since 1987 when we offered 25 select hybrid daylilies. Today we raise over 1000 varieties of daylilies, 200 varieties of hostas and 100 different peony cultivars. Our large field grown plants are dug fresh, trimmed and washed the same day they are shipped to you.
We enjoy hearing from our customers so please email us at ron@homesteadfarms.com if you have any questions or comments about your plants or our website. Follow this link to see what other satisfied Homestead Farms customers had to say.
Our policy has changed. Instead of having "open hours" we ask you call ahead to set up an appointment (phone number (573) 437-4277).
If you know what you want before you come, you can call ahead with your order, and we'll have it ready for you (please give us at least 24 hours of notice, depending on size of order). We are sorry to say we no longer dig daylilies "on-demand", so daylilies selected at the nursery will have to be picked up at a later date or shipped to you.
Our peak daylily bloom season is from June 15th through July 15th. Hostas are in their prime leaf color in May. The peonies typically bloom early to mid-May depending on weather.
Open by appointment only, please call (573) 437-4277 to set up an appointment.
